Starting with the Basics
Austėja's journey into fashion began during her university
years at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), where
she studied Fashion Management while simultaneously
freelancing as a stylist for local fashion photographers and
independent boutiques. It wasn't a straight path — she was
balancing coursework with real-world styling projects,
learning how to translate trend concepts into actual wardrobes
that real people could wear.
The Street Style Blog Era
In 2013, while still early in her career, she launched a
street style blog documenting weekend fashion from Vilnius'
creative markets, underground fashion events, and Old Town
alleyways. The concept was simple but focused: capture how
actual Lithuanians dressed for weekend activities, then break
down those outfits with practical advice. What started as a
personal project evolved into something bigger. By 2015, the
blog had grown to a comprehensive trend-spotting platform
covering everything from thrift store gems to emerging
designer collaborations with Baltic fashion houses.
A Decade of Observation
Over the past decade, Austėja's developed an unmatched
understanding of how Lithuanians approach practical,
weather-appropriate layering. She's studied the unique
intersection of Baltic minimalism with contemporary streetwear
aesthetics — and more importantly, she's figured out how to
make it accessible. Her work has been featured in over 40
regional style publications and social platforms, building an
engaged following of 180,000+ people who trust her
recommendations. What drives her work isn't aspirational
fantasy. It's the belief that exceptional style doesn't
require excessive spending — it requires intention, knowledge
of local resources, and understanding how to remix essentials
across seasons.
How She Works
Austėja approaches each piece of content with the eye of both
a journalist and a stylist. She breaks down outfits from
festival-goers and weekend explorers to extract actionable
advice you can actually use. Her methodology combines direct
street observation, genuine community engagement with local
fashion communities, and deep knowledge of Lithuania's
seasonal shifts. She spends her weekends scouting trends on
Vilnius' Old Town streets, browsing pop-up markets in creative
districts, and exploring Nida's seaside promenades. The
result? Recommendations that're genuinely applicable to real
weekend life, not disconnected from how people actually dress.
